Hello all! Thanks so much for the pictures. I loved them!
This week has gone very well, and has been full of miracles. I love being a missionary!
One of my favorites is A. She is so wonderful. She is 25 and has three little girls, ages 4, 2, and 2 weeks. They are so adorable and remind me a little of my nieces. :) We met her a couple weeks ago and she told us the Elders had visited her a little, but then she moved, and then we found her, which was awesome. She is so ready for the gospel. She has been reading the Book of Mormon and she knows it is the word of God. The other day she was talking about how her relationship with her husband has gotten better and she said it was, ''Thanks to God, and thanks to this Book...'' We love that family so much. Her ''husband'' (another couple not legally married...) also seems very receptive but works a lot so we haven't been able to talk to him much.She and her daughters came to church yesterday and had a great time and she was fellowshipped super well by some of the sisters. We loved seeing that.
Remember J? He is doing very well. Last week he was in Mazatlan and we told him beforehand to look for the church and try to go on Sunday there, but we figured it wasn't very likely. We saw him on Saturday and he told us he went to church in Mazatlan! It was awesome. Also, he was kinda struggling with the Word of Wisdom (coffee and alcohol) but he had committed to live it. He said on this trip he had free coffee and was offered alcohol and all this stuff, but he didn't drink it! Not even once. We are so proud of him. He is excited and ready for baptism. His baptism will either be this week or next.
Another huge miracle: R and her kids came to church yesterday!! We were surprised and very happy to see them. R says she wants to keep learning and getting to know the church and stuff, but she doesn't want pressure. She is also very busy all the time, but she said she hoped we could come tonight, and she'll call us to let us know.
G is doing well, though he's been pretty sick lately. We had set a goal with him to not drink for a week and to read the Book of Mormon and pray and last we had seen him he was doing good. :) We're hoping to see him today.
I am so grateful for all of the blessings the Lord has given me, for this wonderful opportunity to be a missionary, for my companion, for our leaders, for this gospel, for my family, for this wonderful time of year. I love Christmas. :) And I love you!
